The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been promoting efforts to pass on the excitement and memories of the Tokyo 2020 Games to future generations by placing route markers (distance markers) on the Tokyo metropolitan roads where the Olympic cycling road race was held, so that cyclists and others will recognize the course as a legacy of the Tokyo 2020.
